This conforming bandage is not self-adhesive, therefore we recommend bandage tape to keep it in place.
Can I use this conforming bandage to secure dressings?
Conforming bandages are perfect for keeping wound dressings secure without applying too much pressure. For fragile or sensitive wounds, consider a layer of cotton wool as padding between the wound dressing and the bandage to add a soft, absorbent layer underneath. Do not place cotton wool directly on the wound however, as it can leave fibres or stick to the wound, which can interfere with the natural healing process and can potentially cause infection.
What’s the difference between conforming bandages and crepe bandages?
These conforming bandages are much thinner and stretch more compared to crepe bandages, which are more suitable for compression and support, for example with sprains.
