IMPORTANT: H-F Antidote Gel should never be using in or around the eye area.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the purpose of this HF Antidote Gel Kit? ▼

This HF antidote kit gives immediate first aid treatment for skin burns caused by Hydrofluoric Acid (HF). The included calcium gluconate gel can neutralise fluoride ions and help to prevent deep tissue and bone damage by stopping calcium leaching from tissue.

When should the gel be applied? ▼

First aid should begin as soon as possible, ideally within one minute of exposure to HF. First, flush the affected area with clean water for at least one minute, and then gently massage the HF antidote gel into the burn for around 10–15 minutes.

Does this kit replace the need for emergency medical treatment? ▼

While this gel does minimise immediate chemical damage to tissue and bone, all HF burns, even treated, require full medical evaluation.

Where should we install or store the kit? ▼

It is recommended to keep this kit wherever HF is used or stored, such as in labs, maintenance areas, or battery handling zones. A wall mounted bracket (included) allows fast accessibility in emergencies.

What does this kit include? ▼

The HF antidote kit includes four 25 g tubes of HF Antidote Gel, two pairs of vinyl gloves for safe application, and a wall bracket for mounting.
